Police Blotter: Drunken Driving, Stolen Tires and Battery at a Motel

Sunday, Nov. 6

Taken tires

Someone stole all four tires, including the chrome rims, and a chrome grill from a Chrysler 300 parked in a driveway on the 200 block of Melrose Avenue sometime before 3:30 a.m., said.

Asleep at the wheel

Andre Keene, 37, of the 2000 block of Deer Point Drive in Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after police found him asleep in the driver’s seat of his car with the engine running at the intersection of East Merchants and Fernwood drives, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Keene was also charged with driving on a revoked license, unlawful use of a license, parking in the roadway and illegal transportation of alcohol, police said.

Daniel Allen Auberry, 31, of the 0-99 block of Woodridge Road in Boulder Hill, was charged with possession of marijuana and illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop at 1:46 a.m. at Boulder Hill Pass and Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill, Kendall County Sheriff's deputies said. Auberry was initially stopped for speeding and for a defective exhaust system, for which he was also cited, police said.

Saturday, Nov. 5

Drunken driving, aggravated

Esteban Ramirez, 29, of the 600 block of Jackson Street in Aurora, was charged with six counts of felony aggravated drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1 a.m. at Lincoln and Ashland avenues, Montgomery police said. Ramirez was stopped for making an improper turn, police said, and was also charged with obstructing identification for handing police a false ID. He was also cited for improperly signaling, driving without insurance, driving without a license and driving on an expired registration, police said.

No taillight leads to possession, alcohol arrests

Ivory Clark, 26, of the 1600 block of Silver Springs Court in Aurora, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop at 2:10 a.m. on Douglas Road and Sherman Avenue, Montgomery police said. Clark’s passenger, Courtney Frost, 26, of the 300 block of South Union Street in Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing identification after providing a false name to officers, police said. Frost was wanted on a pair of outstanding warrants, one from the Kane County Sheriff’s Department for aggravated use of a weapon and one from Aurora Police for driving on a suspended license, police said. Clark was initially pulled over for broken taillights, police said.

Broken headlight leads to pot charges

Driver Daniel Mendoza, 18, of the 700 block of Spring Street in Aurora, and his passenger Omar Ambriz, 23, of the 400 block of Maple Avenue in Aurora, were both charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 3:30 a.m. at Spencer Street and Melrose Avenue, Montgomery police said. Mendoza was initially stopped for a broken headlight, and was also charged with driving on a suspended license, police said.

Motel battery

Alan Krappitz, 50, of the 1700 block of Route 30 in Oswego, was charged with battery after making “unwanted advances” on a pair of Montgomery 20-year-olds, one male and one female, in a motel in the same block at 10:20 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The three had been drinking in Krappitz’ motel room, police said, and after Krappitz left, he sent “several obscene text messages” as well, police said.

Tag, you’re charged

Guadalupe Guillen, 38, of the 1200 block of Superior Street in Aurora, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1900 block of South Douglas Avenue saw her removing price tags from less expensive items and placing them on more expensive ones around 7 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Friday, Nov. 4

Vehicle theft

Someone stole an unidentified vehicle from a residence on Hillstone Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 8:05 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Monday, Oct. 31

Now this is a burglary

Someone broke into a home in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 11:55 a.m. and stole a handgun, multiple televisions, electronic gaming systems, jewelry and furniture, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.
