Monday, Sept. 19

Drunken driving, part one

Jeffrey Friebele, 50, of the 100 block of Ashlawn Avenue in Oswego, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 12:50 a.m. in the 400 block of North River Road, Montgomery police said. Friebele was initially stopped for improper lane use, police said.

Ernesto Franco-Mendoza, 25, of the 700 block of Front Street in Aurora, was charged with four counts of aggravated drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1:25 a.m. on Montgomery Road and Spencer Sreet, Montgomery police said. Franco-Mendoza received the aggravated charges for not having a valid driver’s license or the proper insurance, police said. He was also cited for driving on a suspended license, and driving without insurance, police said.

Car scratch fever

Two cars parked in a lot in the 2700 block of Oakmont Drive were scratched by an unknown object sometime after 7 p.m., Montgomery police said. Damage to the doors is estimated at $400, police said.

Friday, Sept. 16

Drunken driving, part three

Brenda Gonzalez, 31, of the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 2:05 a.m. on Montgomery Road and Union Street, Montgomery police said. Gonzalez was initially stopped for speeding, police said.

Kicking cop car windows is a bad idea

Lamarcus Spillers, 31, of the 200 block of North Rosedale Avenue in Aurora, was charged with aggravated resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after police responded to reports of someone throwing items off a balcony at 5:50 p.m. in the 2200 block of Jericho Road, Montgomery police said. Spillers resisted arrest, police said, and eventually kicked out the rear window of a squad car. He was also charged with criminal damage to state-supported property, police said.
