Grinch on the loose

Someone damaged Christmas decorations on a home in the 1900 block of Lakeside Drive in Montgomery sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, Montgomery police said.

Drunken driving, part one

Darrell Hollis, 49, of the 1000 block of Cypress Drive in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 12:50 a.m. at Montgomery and Douglas roads, Montgomery police said. Hollis was initially stopped for not having a rear registration plate light, police said.

Diandera Johnson, 23, of the 3600 block of Gabrielle Lane in Aurora, was charged with obstructing identification after she gave false identification to officers attempting to take her in on an outstanding warrant at 1:50 a.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road, Montgomery police said. Johnson was wanted on a DuPage County Sheriff’s warrant for retail theft, and a Kane County Sheriff’s warrant for driving without a license, police said.

Breaking, not entering

Someone damaged a door frame and a window on a home in the 1800 block of Grandview Place in Montgomery in an attempt to break in around 3:30 a.m., Montgomery police said.

Electronics theft

Someone stole several pieces of electronic equipment from a home in the 0-99 block of Pomeroy Road in Montgomery sometime between 6:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The case remains under investigation, police said.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Bad influence

Susana Maurico, 26, of the 900 block of Sard Avenue in Aurora, was charged with contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile after police found her allowing a 17-year-old to drink alcohol while in her vehicle, Montgomery police said. Maurico was stopped ay 1:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road for a minor traffic violation, police said.

Drunken driving, part two

Robert Lackey, 43, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 2:05 a.m. at Orchard Road and Rocheter Drive, Montgomery police said.

Possession

Leodegario Rios Jr., 21, of the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Aurora, was charged with possession of marijuana after police found him asleep in his car at 11:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Douglas Road, Montgomery police said.

Stealing away

Irma Rodriguez, 22, of the 500 block of College Avenue in Aurora, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1900 block of South Douglas Road in Montgomery saw her leaving without paying for merchandise around 5 p.m., Montgomery police said.

More stealing away

David Gengler, 49, of the 0-99 block of Park Street in Oswego, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1500 block of South Douglas Road in Montgomery saw him conceal a bottle of alcohol and leave without paying around 7:45 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Drunken driving, part three

Edward T. Elizondo, 35, of the 700 block of Second Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road, Montgomery police said. Elizondo was initially stopped for speeding and almost striking another vehicle, police said.

Scratch that

Frank Curatola, 39, of the 2500 block of Prairie Crossings in Montgomery, was charged with criminal damage to property after allegedly scratching the side of a vehicle parked in a lot in the 2000 block of Orchard Road around 1:20 p.m, Montgomery police said.
