Sunday, Feb. 19

Drunken driving, part one

James King, 35, of the 400 block of Ingleside Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 5:30 a.m. on Route 25 at Sherman Avenue, Montgomery police said. King was initially stopped for improper lane usage, police said.

Damian Runde, 56, of the 2200 block of Countryside Drive in Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 4:30 p.m. on Countryside Drive at Orchard Road, Montgomery police said. Runde was initially stopped for driving off the Orchard Road construction area and hitting a construction sign, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 18

Stealing away

Ieshya Bester, 26, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1900 block of Douglas Road in Montgomery saw her conceal items and leave without paying at around 3 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Friday, Feb. 17

Possession

William Hendricks, 45, of Bloomington, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:10 a.m. on Douglas Road at Montgomery Road, Montgomery police said. Hendricks, a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested on an outstanding McLean County Sheriff’s warrant for violating an order of protection, police said. Another passenger, John Lemos, 32, of the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Aurora, was arrested on a Kane County Sheriff’s warrant for contempt of court, police said.

That is not a garage door opener

An unknown driver in a red and white pick-up truck backed into a garage door in the 2400 block of Mayfield Drive at around 9 p.m., causing damage, Montgomery police said. The driver then fled the scene, police said.
