Drunken driving

Richard Devore, 32, of the 400 block of North Spring Street in Elgin, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 8:10 a.m. on Montgomery Road at Briarcliff Road, Montgomery police said. Devore was initially stopped for speeding, and he was charged with aggravated drunken driving on a revoked license, aggravated drunken driving with no insurance, and aggravated drunken driving on a revoked license, due to this being his second offense, police said.

Someone sprayed an “unknown white liquid substance” over a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu parked in the 2800 block of Troon Drive sometime before 9 a.m., Montgomery police said. The substance “appeared to be possibly a white salad dressing,” police said.

Elsa Ramos-Ibarra, 18, of the 700 block of Kendall Street in Aurora, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1900 block of South Douglas Road in Montgomery saw her conceal about $35 of merchandise and leave without paying, Montgomery police said.

Friday, May 4

Bail bond violation

Jon Poulopoulos, 29, of the 2100 block of Simon Drive in Montgomery, was charged with violating his bail bond after he reportedly contacted a family member he was previously charged with battering, Montgomery police said. He was charged with two counts of domestic battery for allegedly causing minor injuries to this family member, police said, and later that day the family member reported that Poulopoulos had texted her and entered their home. Bail bond violation is a Class A misdemeanor.
