Storage wars

Two Boulder Hill men reported items stolen from a storage unit they rent from the Public Storage facility at 184 Route 30 in Aurora, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The robbery took place sometime before 2:21 p.m., police said.

Burning rubber

Ronald Meyer, 58, of the 2400 block of Roxbury Drive in Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1:30 a.m. at Caterpillar Drive and Orchard Road, Montgomery police said. Meyer was initially stopped for squealing his tires, police said.

Montgomery police charged two juveniles, one 16 and one 17, with residential burglary after catching them inside a neighbor’s house at 4:20 p.m. in the 2300 block of Majestic Place. A sports bag containing items from inside the house was also found, police said.

Church gets tagged

Someone wrote “anti-Christian graffiti” on a dumpster on the grounds of the Church of the Brethren, 155 Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill, sometime before 8:59 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Friday, August 12

Faking it

Alejandor Zuniga, of the 500 block of Pine Ridge Drive in Oswego, was charged with felony forgery after he provided police officers with a fictitious name, and signed that name on traffic tickets he received, Montgomery police said. Zuniga was also charged with obstructing identification and driving on a revoked license, police said.

Conceal and carry

Nestor Ortega, 21, of the 300 block of South Hugh Street in Plano, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road saw him conceal merchandise and leave the store around 6:20 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Wednesday, August 10

Stolen bike

Someone stole a BMX bicycle from the front yard of a home in the 100 block of Tealwood Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 4:04 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Tuesday, August 9

Broken windshield

Someone damaged the windshield of a 2006 Chevy Malibu parked in the 200 block of Fernwood Drive in Boulder Hill sometime before 8:03 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The damage estimate is $300, police said.
