Sunday, March 20

Near-miss on sidewalk

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a near-miss that occurred at 6:10 p.m. on Circle Drive East near Bereman Road in Boulder Hill. Two male juveniles were walking on the sidewalk, police said, when a small black truck reportedly tried to hit them.

Saturday, March 19

DUI in two-car crash

Jared Pilkington, 30, of the 100 block of Long Beach Drive in Boulder Hill, was charged with drunken driving after crossing over the center line of Orchard Road near Caterpillar Drive at 2:50 a.m. and striking another car traveling in the other direction, Montgomery Police said. Pilkington failed to stop after the accident, police said, and officers pulled him over a short distance from the scene. Pilkington was also charged with having a blood alcohol content over .08, speeding, illegally transporting an open bottle of alcohol, failure to reduce speed, improper lane use and disobeying a police officer, according to the report. No one was injured in the accident, police said.

Friday, March 18

Resisting arrest

Matthew Faxon, 30, of the 2200 block of Jericho Road in Montgomery, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after officers responded to his home at 1 a.m. for a domestic violence call, Montgomery Police said.

That's gonna be a rough cleanup

Two juveniles were detained after police caught them tipping over a portable lavatory at 2:20 p.m. in the 2000 block of Kate Drive in Montgomery, police said.

Thursday, March 17

Broken headlight leads to DUI

Rebecca Debenedetti, 28, of the 700 block of Iowa Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. at Route 25 and Keck Avenue, Montgomery Police said. Debenedetti was pulled over for having a broken headlight, police said.

Wednesday, March 16

Pot possession, warrant arrest

Brandon Daniels, 27, of the 0-99 block of North Grace Street in North Aurora, was charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 1:15 a.m., Montgomery Police said. Daniels’ passenger, Danielle Johnson, 25, of the 2300 block of Garfield Avenue in Aurora, was charged with obstructing identification after handing a false ID to police officers, and was taken in on outstanding warrants for misdemeanor theft (Kendall County) and a traffic charge (DuPage County), police said.

Paint gun mistaken for real thing

Montgomery Police responded to Providence and Lakewood Creek drives at 3 p.m. for a call about a person with a weapon. Police determined that the weapon was in fact a legal paintball gun, according to the report.
