Police Blotter: Drugs, Burglaries and Spitting on Cops

Monday, August 8

If you’re missing stuff, call police

Jordan Easton, 19, of the 2600 block of Caliendo Circle in Montgomery, was charged with burglary to more than 20 unlocked vehicles in the area of Margaret Court, Prairie Crossing Drive and Rebecca Circle on Sunday night and early Monday morning, Montgomery police said. Easton was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Jacob Drive, and admitted to the robberies, police said. Police recovered several still-unclaimed items, including GPS units, iPods, and a musical instrument. If you’re missing items from your car, and you live in that area, call the investigations unit at 630-897-8707 ext. 3300. And, police said, remember to lock your car doors.

Spray-painted car

Someone spray-painted graffiti on a car in the 0-99 block of Surrey Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 5:07 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Insult, but no injury, thankfully

John Rothfuss, 27, of the 100 block of Sherman Avenue in Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after an accident without injuries at around 6 p.m. at Seasons Ridge Boulevard and Douglas Road, Montgomery police said. Rothfuss failed to stop for a red light and struck another car, police said. He then threatened police officers and spit on two of them, and was subsequently charged with two counts of felony aggravated battery to a police officer, police said.

Saturday, August 6

Controlled substance, possession

Marcelo Valles, 31, of the 800 block of Sard Avenue in Aurora, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at 12 a.m. on Lincoln and Ashland avenues, Montgomery police said. Valles was initially stopped for disobeying a traffic light, police said.

Controlled substance, manufacture and delivery

Andrew Dockery, 21, of the 1300 block of Pearl Street in Aurora, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after a traffic stop at 12:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of Montgomery Road, Montgomery police said. Dockery was initially stopped for improper lane use, and police found four plastic baggies containing a controlled substance in his pockets, police said.

Drunken driving, aggravated

Marcus Hause, 34, of the 100 block of Heath Gate Road in Boulder Hill, was charged with aggravated drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1:25 a.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road, Montgomery police said. He was also charged with driving on a revoked license, driving without insurance, and illegal lane use.

Friday, August 5

Two-wheeled thievery

Someone stole a red BMX bicycle from inside a garage in the 2200 block of Andrew Trail sometime before 1:35 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Been caught stealing

Dawn Briner, 26, of the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego, was charged with retail theft after employees of a store in the 1900 block of South Douglas Road saw her conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying around 4:50 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Thursday, August 4

Biker down

A female juvenile reported to Kendall County Sheriff's deputies that a blue van had hit her and run off while she was riding her bike on Boulder Hill Pass near Hillstone Road at 12 a.m., police said.
