Sunday, Nov. 13

Drug charges, part one 

Kyle Rome, 26, of DeKalb, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. on William and Griffin drives, said. His passenger, Brandon Cline, 27, of the 0-99 block of Denham Road in Boulder Hill, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and taken in on a Kendall County Sheriff’s warrant for possession of marijuana, police said. Rome’s vehicle was initially stopped for not having a rear registration light, police said. 

Drunken driving

Lawrence Tillis, of the 2300 block of Ferdinand Lane in Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 2:25 a.m. on Route 30 near Gordon Road, Montgomery police said. Tillis was initially stopped for not having a rear registration light, police said.

A cellular phone reported missing from Caterpillar on Route 31 around 6:02 p.m. was recovered at a home in Montgomery, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The case is still under investigation, police said.

Saturday, Nov. 12

Harassment

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of harassing phone calls and text messages sent to a Boulder Hill woman starting at 3 a.m., police said. The sender of the messages threatened to break out the woman’s car windows, police said.

Copper thieves

Someone stole five rolls of copper tubing valued at $6,000 from a locked trailer outside a business in the 1200 block of South Lake Street sometime before 3 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Friday, Nov. 11

Drug charges, part two

Cuahtemol Mata, 22, of the 400 block of North Avenue in Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 11:40 p.m. on Montgomery Road near Park Drive, Montgomery police said. Mata was initially stopped for disobeying a stop sign, and police found a “device used to smoke cannabis” as well as a small amount of marijuana, police said.
