Someone pried open a window and attempted to gain entry into a residence at 7 a.m. in the 100 block of Second Avenue, police said. Reports state nothing was taken.

George Taylor, 35, of Warrenville, was arrested for domestic battery after he allegedly caused bodily harm to a household member at 5:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Deerpoint Drive, police said.

Criminal damage to vehicle

Someone broke off the driver's side mirror of a vehicle while it was parked in the roadway at 3:55 p.m. in the 200 block of Arbor Ridge, police said.
