Police Blotter: Battery, Cell Phone Store Burglary

July 13

Theft

A ladder and tools were stolen from the rear of a business at 11:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Orchard Road, police said. Reports state the the items were taken by a man in his late 20s driving a light blue Chrysler or Dodge with an American Flag on the passenger radio antenna.

July 14

Cell phone store burglarized

Several cell phones were stolen from a store at 12:15 a.m. in the 2000 block of Orchard Road, police said. Reports state police responded to an alarm and discovered the burglary.

Domestic battery

Gregory Mobley, 28, of the 2300 block of Artesian Lane, Montgomery, was arrested for domestic battery after he allegedly struck a former girlfriend with his fist at 7:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of Artesian Lane, police said.

Aggravated domestic battery

Police said Javier Torres, 28, of the 3200 block of Marbill Farms Road, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery after he allegedly caused great bodily harm to a family member during a domestic dispute at 8 a.m. in the 3200 block of Marbill Farms Road. Reports state the victim was treated and released from Rush Copley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Torres is being held in the Kane County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Battery, disorderly conduct

Anthony Krause, 24, of the 200 block of Delores Lane, Oswego, was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct for public intoxication after he caused bodily harm to an individual at 12:20 p.m. in the 300 block of Montgomery Road, police said.
