Plainfield Man Charged With Felony Theft From Montgomery Business

Roberto Trejo-Terrazas admitted to stealing between $1,500 and $3,000 from the cash register of a business in the 200 block of Lake Street, Kendall County Sheriff's deputies said.

A Plainfield man has been charged with felony theft after admitting to stealing between $1,500 and $3,000 from a Montgomery business over the last year, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday.

Roberto Trejo-Terrazas, 26, of the 24000 block of Champion Drive in Plainfield, is an employee of a food vending business in the 200 block of Route 31 in Montgomery, police said. Sheriff’s deputies responded to that business on Monday at 2:30 p.m. and were told that an employee had been stealing cash from a register since September 2010.

Police said video surveillance cameras captured footage of Trejo-Terrazas taking money from a register. When confronted, he admitted to the crime, police said.

Trejo-Terrazas was charged with felony theft, and is currently being held at the Kendall County Jail on $30,000 bond, police said.
