A Hanover Park man is charged with DUI after a two-car crash that sent and two people to area hospitals Friday night.

Scott Jackson, 41, of the 4700 block of Whitney Drive, faces charges of DUI and failure to yield following a crash that occurred at around 9 p.m. on Route 30 between Treasure Drive and Wolf Road, Oswego police said.

Two people in the other vehicle were also hospitalized. An 18-year-old woman from Plainfield was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, while a 20-year-old man from Wheaton was sent to Copley, police said. No information was immediately available on their conditions.

At least one person was reportedly extricated and airlifted from the scene following the crash, according to Kendall County Scanner.

Oswego police said via Facebook early Saturday that utility workers were replacing downed power lines following the crash.

"The accident has been cleaned up, however, utility workers will be in the area working on replacing a pole and downed power lines for quite some time," the department posted at around 3 a.m., adding that the road had been reopened.

Some residents in the area reported power outages following the crash.

Jackson's bond is set at $3,000, police said.
