Parent Charged with Assault After Altercation at School: Sheriff

Sunday, Feb. 24

Burglary from a motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred between Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 in the 1200 block of Prairie Lane, Yorkville. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole the removable stereo faceplate along with a backpack of books and a small electronic item.

Domestic battery

Samuel Paul Cushing, 35, of the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, Montgomery was arrested at 12:45 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery that had occurred on Feb. 22 in which the victim had visible bruising. He was also charged with criminal damage to property after damaging a garage door opener.

No valid driver’s license

Daniel Herrera-Carrillo, 24, of the 8900 block of Route 34, Yorkville, was arrested at 11:58 p.m. at Route 34 and Lyncliff Road, Bristol, and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Theft, criminal damage to property

 Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft and criminal damage to property that occurred between Feb. 21 and Feb. 24 in the 0-99 block of Whitney Way, Oswego. The victim reported that a 24’ alumni siding pole and jump jack had been stolen. A portion of the victim’s fence was also broken.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Domestic battery

Paul Daniel Gottberg, 22, of the 1500 block of Pine Street, Ottaway, was arrested at 7:56 a.m. at the Sunshine Motel in the 1100 block of Route 30, Oswego, and charged with domestic battery, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies reported that Gottberg had battered a family member in the parking lot and then dragged the family member into the room where the fight continued until a neighbor intervened. He was also charged for possession of drug paraphernalia.

DUI

Christopher William Benson, 29, of the 2000 block of Old Glory Court, Yorkville, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. at Orchard Route and Route 71 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for speeding.

Zero tolerance, unlawful possession of alcohol, consumption of alcohol, drug paraphernalia

Nicole T. Sherer, 19, of the 1400 block of Orchid Road, Yorkvile, and Katie E. Wehrly, 19, of the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway, Oswego, were arrested at 5:53 a.m. at Route 34 and Bristol Ridge Road after they were found speeding 59mph in 45mph. Sherer, the driver, was found to have been driving and was charged with zero tolerance, unlawful consumption and possession of alcohol and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies smelled cannabis coming from the vehicle and subsequently charged the subjects with posseson of drug paraphernalia. Wehrly was charged with the unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle traffic collision with unknown injuries that occurred about 1:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Reservation Road.  Deputies found a dark green 1997 Nissan Maxima bearing the Illinois registration of 4195286 was located unoccupied. A check of the registered owners residence and local hospitals were met with negative results. Anyone with information in regards to this collision is asked to contact the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported theft that occurred on Feb. 16 in the 0-99 block of Sheffield, Montgomery between two roommates. No complaints were signed and the investigation continues.

No valid driver’s license

Sara Jaime-Andrade, 37, of the 100 block of Heathgate Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. at Pendleton Road and Fernwood Road and charged with driving without a valid license after disobeying a stop sign, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Friday, Feb. 22

Leaving scene of property accident

Brian Robert Dillenburg, 31, of the 0-99 block of Marnel Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. at Whitney Way and Marnel Road and charged for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Dillenburg had reportedly hit a legally parked car with his truck. Witnesses saw him survey the damage and then leave the scene without providing information. Witnesses obtained Dillenburg’s license number and he was apprehended shortly after.

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported hit and run car accident that occurred at 5:22 p.m. at Route 30 and Wolf’s Crossing. Three vehicles were involved and the driver of the offending vehicle left the scene. The driver was described as white male approximately 20 years old with black hair slick backed. He was driving a tan SUV of an unknown make, model or registration number.

No valid driver’s license

Enrique Alfaro, 27, of the 1700 block of Wick Way, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:18 a.m. at Route 30 and Goodwin and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Thursday, Feb. 21

Aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, reckless driving

Charles E. Booker of the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 8:26 a.m. at Longbeach Elementary School and charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and reckless driving, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Booker, a parent of a Longbeach student, was reportedly causing a disturbance in the student drop-off area by engaging in an argument with a school staff member. Booker than allegedly recklessly drove his vehicle to a parking spot in front school lot and walked towards the building. The Sheriff’s office reported that the altercation between Booker and the staff member continued until an assistant principal was able to defuse the situation and escort Booker into the secured office area inside the school. He was charged with disorderly conduct (Class C misdemeanor) and aggravated assault and reckless driving (both Class A misdemeanors). The incident was isolated and no students were involved in the altercation.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

Domestic battery

Corrine S. Moulton, 35, of the 0-99 block of Woodcliff Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery after striking a household member with her hand in their face, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. 

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported theft that occurred in the 0-99 block of Winrock, Road. A piece of jewelry was reported taken during around 12:30 p.m., but the victim did not wish to sign a complaint as the suspect is a family member.

No valid driver’s license

Benjamin Carlos Ruiz-Cabrera, 44, of the 500 block of Ashland Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. in the 1900 block of Hill and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was stopped originally for an equipment violation.

Monday, Feb. 18

Speeding

Tyler Robert Dorio, 21, of the 300 block of Fox Chase Drive North, Oswego, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. at Route 34 and Cherry Road and charged with speeding 40 miles per hour plus over the posted speed limit, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was found to be doing 81 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Sometimes you forget to renew your license after so many years, and sometimes people have a bad day, and we don't need any more police officers!! All they do is drive around talking on their phones while on their computers!! Not everyone is perfect like you everyone relax, some people have had problems being raised right!!
