Oswego Man Identified in Fatal Semi Crash

Illinois State Police have notified the next of kin and have released the name of the Oswego man killed in an early Monday morning accident.

Timothy J. Doerr, 53,  was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital following the accident.

Oct. 28, 12:35 p.m.

A 53-year-old Oswego man died early Monday morning after colliding with a semi truck in Kendall County.

The accident occurred at 7:54 a.m. at the intersection of Grove Road and Route 52. The Lisbon Seward Fire Department responded to the accident and called Minooka and Troy fire departments for assistance with the extrication accident. 

According to state police, the man was driving southbound on Grove and went through a stop sign onto Route 52, where he collided with a semi truck headed westbound. 

Those were the only two vehicles involved in the accident, state police said. The roadway is now cleared.
