Oswego East Student Charged with Bringing Knives to School: Police

A victim in the 2000 block of Light Road, Oswego, reported receiving multiple unwanted text messages, but did not sign a complaint, according to Kendall County Sheriff's police.

A Yorkville woman reported that someone made an unauthorized online purchase with her debit card, according to Kendall County Sheriff's police.

A 16-year-old male was arrested by Oswego police at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Donny J. Miller, 18, of the 0-100 block of Springdale Riad, Montgomery, was arrested by Oswego police at Oswego East High School, 1525 Harvey Road, and charged with unlawful storage of a weapon at school, police said. According to police, Miller had six pocketknives in his possession. Oswego Capt. Jeff Burgner said there is no indication that the teen used the knives to threaten anyone.

A 2003 Mongoose mountain bike worth an estimated $600 was taken from the bike rack at the Oswego Public Library, 32 W. Jefferson St., police said.
