Montgomery Shooting Victims Released from Hospitals: Police

No arrest in April 20 incident that wounded six people.

Six people who were shot at an Easter party in Montgomery have all been released from area hospitals, Montgomery Police Chief Daniel Meyers said Monday afternoon.

The victims were sitting in a garage at 1399 Jackson Street talking and listening to music at around 12:30 a.m. when a gunman walked up and opened fire, Meyers said. Five people were taken to area hospitals via ambulance, while a sixth was taken to a hospital by a friend.

On Sunday, Meyers said children were present in the home, but none were in the garage at the time of the shooting. Four men and two women were hurt in the incident.

Police are looking for a gold SUV with black rims in connection with the shooting.

Aurora police are assisting Montgomery in identifying suspects in the case, Meyers said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Aurora Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000 or Montgomery police at 630-897-8707, ext. 3300, Meyers said. Callers may remain anonymous.
