Local Man Charged in Armed Robbery of Business in Boulder Hill

The armed robbery incident occurred in December 2010.

An Oswego man has been charged with armed robbery for an incident that occured in December 2010, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office.

Deamontae Jackson, 20, of the 600 block of Vista Drive, Oswego has been charged with 6 counts of armed robbery in relation to the incident.

On Dec. 12, 2010, Sheriff's deputies went to the Dollar General Store, 70 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, for a report of an armed robbery. A handgun was reported displayed and U.S. currency taken, but no one was injured.

Detectives began an investigation and after recently receiving new information were able to secure charges against Jackson. 

Jackson's bond was set at 10 percent of $250,000. He is currently in custody at the Kane County Corrections Center on an unrelated charge.
