Montgomery Woman Facing Felony Theft Charge

Hundreds in jewelry stolen from Garden Drive home.

A Montgomery woman is being held in the Kendall County Jail on charges she stole hundreds of dollars in jewelry from a home in the 0 to 99 block of Garden Drive, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Kristine Bethel, 27, of the 0 to 10 block of Knollwood Road, Montgomery, was charged Jan. 13 with theft over $300, a class 4 felony. The charges stem from a call to the sheriff’s office received June 18 of several pieces of jewelry missing from the Garden Drive home, the sheriff’s office said.

After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Bethel’s arrest on Dec. 13, and she was arrested one month later.

Bethel is being held on $25,000 bond.
