Items Stolen from Oswego Residence Found for Sale Online

An Aurora man has been charged with the burglary.

An Aurora man has been charged with burglary from an Oswego residence that occurred back in September, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

William Wilkinson, 35, of the 200 block of South Fordham Avenue, Aurora, was charged with burglary, a class 3 felony, following an investigation to a burglary that occurred on Sept. 5.

On that date, deputies went to a home in the 2000 block of Simons Road, Oswego, for a burglary report. Multiple kitchen cabinets, fixtures, copper piping and appliances valued together at more than $5,000 were stolen.

During an investigation, deputies found many of the stolen items posted for sale on an Internet website.

A search warrant was executed at Wilkinson’s address and many of the stolen items wer recovered.

Wilkinson’s bond has been set at $50,000 with 10 percent to apply. He is currently in custody at the Kendall County Corrections Center, awaiting a court appearance on Jan. 13.
