Electronics and Clothing Stolen in Residential Burglary: Police

Tuesday, Sept. 17

Residential burglary

A resident returned home from vacation and reported a residential burglary had occurred between Sept. 12 and Sept. 17 at their home, said Montgomery police. Suspects forced entry into the residence and stole electronics and clothing.

Trenton Blank, 23, of the 2000 block of Fox Pointe Circle, Aurora, was arrested at 3 a.m. at Douglas and Route 30 on DuPage County Sheriff’s Department Possession of Cannabis Warrant after police stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation, said Montgomery police.

Erica Harris, 35, of Berkley Illinois, an employee of a business was arrested at 1:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of Douglas Road for retail theft after store officials observed her remove cash from a cash register and conceal it on her person. 

Sunday, Sept. 15

DUI

Keith Taylor, 39, of Rockford, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. at Montgomery Road and Douglas for DUI after police heard a loud noise and observed the vehicle he was driving was stuck on a raised parking lot of a business in the 1300 block of S. Douglas Road, said Montgomery police.

Retail theft

A male juvenile, 16,  from Boulder Hill, was arrested at 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Orchard Road for retail theft after store employees observed him conceal items for sale and leave the store without paying, said Montgomery police.

Unlawful use of credit card

Victim reported someone stole their debit card while attending a party in Oswego, and used it to make purchases at a retail store in Montgomery, said Montgomery Police.

Fraudulent prescription/ forgery

Montgomery police took a report in which a pharmacist reported a Male Hispanic, approximately 52 years old, dropped off a prescription for a prescription drug, using a stolen prescription pad requesting it to be filled. The offender left prior to arrival. 

Friday, Sept. 13

Recovered stolen vehicle

Montgomery Police assisted Chicago Police Department with recovering a vehicle reported stolen.  The vehicle was located inside a garage of a residence in the 200 block of Arbor Ridge.  The incident is under investigation by Chicago Police.

Retail theft

Two female juveniles from Aurora were arrested at 10:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Douglas Road for retail theft after store officials observe them conceal a bottle of alcohol and leave the store without paying.

Battery

Montgomery police took a report for battery that occurred at 3:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Webster Street. The victim reported a person they knew struck the victim in the face with a closed fist. The suspect fled the area.

Theft

Montgomery police took a report of theft that occurred in the 2200 block Andrew Trail. A resident reported someone stole their black BMX style boys’ bicycle valued at $200 from their front yard.

Theft

Montgomery police took a report from an employee who reported someone pumped $99 of diesel fuel into a truck and left without paying around 4:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Orchard Road.
