Hospital officials won't confirm the condition of 16-year-old girl driving the minivan involved in Tuesday's crash with a semi truck on Orchard Road, but Montgomery police say she is in critical condition.

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured in a crash with a semi truck on Orchard Road and Route 30 Tuesday night, Montgomery police said.

The girl was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Astrovan north on Orchard Road around 8:20 p.m. when a semi-truck owned by ABF Freight System Inc. of Aurora turned left from the southbound lane, striking the minivan head on, police said.
