Det. Jeffrey Ricedorf Promoted to Sergeant

Ricedorf has been with the Montgomery Police Department since September of 2001 and has been serving in Investigations since 2009.

Det. Jeffrey Ricedorf was appointed to serve as a sergeant for the June 1.

Ricedorf has been with the Montgomery Police Department since September of 2001 and has been serving in Investigations since 2009.

Sgt. Ricedorf attended training at the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield and completed the 14-week Field Training Officer program.

Since that time, he has served as a field training officer, detective, taser instructor and juvenile officer. Ricedorf is the supervisor of the Special Enforcement Team and recently has become a certified lead homicide investigator by the State of Illinois.

Chief of Police Daniel Meyers characterized Ricedorf as a highly qualified officer and particularly praised his efforts in DARE, Investigations and the SET Team.

“Sgt. Ricedorf has a proven record of dedication and commitment to the Department and I believe he will do extremely well in his new position as the Police Department moves forward,” Meyers said.
