Crimes Against the Elderly Focus of Village Program

A presentation on crimes against the elderly will be offered at the Montgomery Village Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9.

The following information was provided by the village of Montgomery.

A presentation on crimes against the elderly will be offered at the Montgomery Village Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9. 

Police Officer Jon Fritz will discuss how to recognize and deal with sweepstakes scams, identity theft, home repair fraud and other such crimes.  Prior to this presentation, a representative from Senior Services Associates will provide information about services available through that organization.

This program is offered by the Village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program.  There is no charge and the event is handicap accessible. 

The monthly Senior Lunch and activity for ages 55 and up will begin at 11 a.m. after the presentation.  There is a $4 charge for the lunch and pre-registration for lunch is required by April 5.
