Boulder Hill Woman Charged in June Shooting

The Kane County Sheriff's office has charged Jeanette Lyte with two felonies in connection with a June incident in unincorporated Aurora Township in which one woman was shot in the shoulder.

A Boulder Hill woman has been charged with two felonies in connection with a June shooting in unincorporated Aurora Township, the Kane County Sheriff’s office announced Monday.

Jeanette M. Lyte, 35, of the 0-99 block of Pueblo Road, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, Sheriff’s deputies said. The charges stem from a June 16 incident in the 700 block of Terry Avenue, in which a woman was shot in the shoulder.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, where she was treated and released, police said. No arrests were made at that time, according to police.

Lyte is being held at the Kane County Jail, on $75,000 bond, police said.
