Batavia Police Investigate Bank Robbery Dec. 22 (PHOTOS)

Here are some more photos outside the scene as police searched for answers.

Batavia police were at the scene of an east-side bank robbery for over four hours on Saturday, interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.

Patrol cars, unmarked cars and the Batavia police crime scene investigation SUV gathered in the parking lot of Old Second National Bank, located on the 1000 block of East Wilson Street. This is where the armed robbery took place, sometime before 10:08 a.m. Dec. 22.

A man dressed in a black hoodie, his face mostly covered, came into the bank with a black semi-automatic handgun, according to police. He fled with an unknown amount of money.

A chalk outline was drawn in one of the front parking spaces of the bank. It's unclear if this was where the getaway car, a white or light-colored smaller four-door sedan, was parked.

The investigation appeared to take place mostly inside the bank. An investigator or two walked outside briefly during the last hour on the scene, but they went back inside.

Police left the bank by 3 p.m. The Batavia police and FBI investigation into this robbery continues.
