Aurora Teen Charged in Rash of Thefts from Cars in Boulder Hill

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies worked with Montgomery police to catch the 16-year-old suspect.

A sixteen-year-old man from Aurora has been charged in a rash of burglaries from motor vehicles in Boulder Hill, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said this weekend.

According to Deputy Craig French, the sheriff’s office received numerous calls regarding theft from cars along Aldon Road and Bereman Road in Boulder Hill, and Route 25 in Oswego Township, early on April 30. An investigation was conducted by the sheriff’s department and the , French said.

Montgomery police detained a 16-year-old male at about 5:20 a.m., and information gathered led police to suspect this juvenile of the crimes. Detectives from the sheriff’s department questioned him, and he admitted to stealing items from unlocked vehicles in Boulder Hill, French said.

The teen, whose name has not been released, has been charged with burglary to motor vehicle, a class 2 felony, French said.
