Kiran "Tad" Ahuja, 54, was a Member of the US Air Force, "Grill Master" for His Family and Friends

Visitation for Tad Ahuja will take place on Thursday, April 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m.

Kiran Tadge “Tad” Ahuja, age 54, of Oswego, IL, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his residence.  He was born November 4, 1958, in Chicago, IL.

Tad served his country honorably as a member of the US Air Force.  He attended Holy Angels grade school, graduated in the Class of 1977 from Oswego High School and attended UNLV, University of Las Vegas, while serving in the Air Force stationed at Nellis Air Force Base.

Tad loved working with and serving customers throughout his professional career as a sales person and call center manager.

Tad was the grill master for his family and friends, enjoyed a good joke, was passionate about Conservative politics, was an all around sports fan, had many long term friends from grade school whom he cherished, and most of all, he was the best Uncle who loved and was proud of his nieces and nephews!

Tad is survived by his mother, Susan L Ahuja of Oswego, IL, four sisters, Raj (Robert) King of Oakbrook, IL, Mary Tara Hoover of Peru, IL, Bibiana Ahuja and Rani Ahuja both of Highlands Ranch, CO, two brothers, Dr. Roshan “Bob” Ahuja of Cincinnati, OH, Madan (Felicia) Ahuja of Aurora, IL, 9 nieces and nephews, Patrick King, Robert Scott Ahuja, Catie Hoover, Dustin Ahuja, Courtney Ahuja, Jared Stiers, John Hadfield (Godson), Anna Stegen, Bennett Stegen, and many other children of close friends who called him “Uncle Huj.”  Tad was preceded in death by his father, Manohar “Roshan/Tom” Ahuja.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Dunn Family Funeral Home, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL.  The funeral service will be from the funeral home at 9:30am on Friday, April 19, 2013, to St Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL for a 10:00am Mass of Christian burial celebrated by Fr Jeff Stoneberg.  Burial with military honors will take place at Oswego Cemetery followed by a luncheon celebration in honor of Tad’s life.
