2013 the year of the tablet and 2014 the year of?

2013 was the year of the tablet beating the stuffing out of PC sales, but the year coming is the one I have been waiting on. 2014 will be the year software for tablets finally gets going. That crystal ball tells me that we will finally see some real applications coming out that will help make all the new toys into real computers. Yes tablets are great but, I use my 11" laptop more for real work and for one huge reason (KEYBOARD).

The applications for tablets are great but someone needs to really understand the interface when development is being done for the software to really be worth the price of purchase. I think finally we are seeing it happen. Some of the applications coming out on LG and Samsung units are well tuned for today's business user. I also see more main line developers getting on board with releases of business apps.

So while 2013 was the hardware, 2014 will be the software just watch it happen......goosh I hope it does!
