Montgomery's New Website is Here

Let us know what you think of the village's new online presence. Take it for a spin, and give us your review in the comments below.

Don’t look now, but Montgomery’s new website is up and running. Wait, actually, do look now.

It’s the village’s first site redesign since 2003, and was created by Kansas-based company CivicPlus, for a fee of $14,357. A team of eight village employees had input into virtually every area of the site design, with the goal of improving on the old one in every way they could.

Some of the new features: the site will include information on every village department, a calendar of events, a directory of Montgomery businesses and resources, an agenda center where residents can see what their elected officials are up to, and a comprehensive feedback center, where residents can leave concerns, complaints and requests in 27 different categories.

The new site will also allow residents to pay bills online, using their credit cards. However, there is a $2 charge for using the service.

And now that it’s here, it’s up to you to tell village officials whether they got it right. What do you think of the new website? Let us know in the comments.

QUICK NOTE: Village officials inform us that all of the servers may not be switched over until later this afternoon. By tonight, everyone should be able to access the new site.
