Adopt Me: Paris is for (Cat) Lovers

Our weekly spotlight on a dog or cat looking for a forever home.

Meet Paris, a one-year-old domestic shorthair cat ready for adoption at the Kendall County Animal Control shelter in Yorkville. Paris was a stray, and her front paws are declawed. She's up to date on all shots.

Paris has been at the shelter for about three weeks. Warden Anna Payton described her as a "diva," meaning she likes affection on her terms. Payton said she wouldn't recommend Paris to a home with small children, since the cat may be terrified of them. But she's friendly and kind and loves to be scratched, as you'll see in the video.

For information on adopting Paris, or any of the other animals at the shelter, call 630-553-9256.
