The iPad Causes Me to Have Gas

Is Apple to blame for high gas prices?

Did you hear the latest salvo from Apple being fired from the tech canon? The new iPad 3 is here with better graphics, 4G LTE and a little faster processor.

My big statement is, “so what?” I’m not running to the store to snap one up just because it’s a step better than before. I’m like the many waiting for, maybe, iPad 3 Rev. 2 or iPad 3+, because at $500-plus, a small step is just a waste of money. I’m sure Apple is hoping they will fly from the shelves, but I’m thinking you’ll see iPad 2, now that the price is lower, being the top seller.

OK, enough on the iPad stuff, let us talk about hardware shortages coming to an end finally. News is that the floods and tidal wave in Asian countries have finally started to show signs of increased output of products. So the hard drive and LED/LCD panels are starting to flow back into the world markets, which will help you and I purchase goods cheaper or at levels before these terrible things hit.

OK, now here is my political side jumping out. "Danger Will Robinson, danger." It is a world economy driving the gadgets we all love to buy. Stable pricing means good things for us, right?  If the Chinese make the products cheap enough and then we all buy like crazy, it will spark more new growth in China. This new growth will cause them to use that new cash, our cash, on things like cars which use gas. So indirectly, Apple's at fault for the gas prices being so high. Isn’t that weird how it all circles back on us.

So with that, stop buying gadgets and use paper and pen to send mail again, our big fat Cadillacs need the gas!

CAW (Cool Application of the Week):

OneNote from Microsoft is a great add-on for taking notes with your office applications. Microsoft recently made applets for Android and iPad part of the collective. Since OneNote is with most, if not all, Office packages, you may already have the best sticky note taker around.

Time for a few antacids and cure the gas in my car. Have a great week!
