Montgomery, Welfare League Partner to Offer Free Pet Food to Low Income Residents

The Animal Welfare League also provides low-cost spay/neuter services and low-cost vaccinations for pets.

Editor's note: The following is information from the village of Montgomery.

The village of Montgomery is working with the Fox Valley Animal Welfare League to offer free pet food to low income residents.

Pet owners must register for the service and provide proof of income. Owners can then pick up a month’s worth of free pet food at the Village Hall on the second Tuesday of each month beginning in November. The Animal Welfare League also provides low-cost spay/neuter services and low-cost vaccinations for pets.

A volunteer will bring the pet food to the Village Hall and help load it into vehicles.

Sign up forms are available online at www.ci.montgomery.il.us and at the Village Hall.
