The CROP walk took place on Sunday, Sept. 22.

On Sunday, Sept. 22 around 200 people walked in the 19th annual Kendall County CROP Walk to fight hunger.

Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) walks are sponsored worldwide by Church World Service, an international relief agency.

The walk started and ended at Oswego Presbyterian Church.

Walk director, Kathy Davidson of Montgomery, said the walk raised $8,800 and about $2,000 is expected in late donations.

A portion of the donations will go to the local Kendall County Food Pantry.
