The Underground Railroad in Illinois
Author Glennette Tilley Turner will discuss her research regarding the Underground Railroad in Illinois and her listing of the Chapel on the Green, NFP (previously the Yorkville Congregational Church) as a stop on the railway in her book, "Underground Railroad in Illinois".
Ms. Turner has served as a consultant on the subject to many local organizations, has testified before the U.S. Sendate and House subcommittes, and was a consultant on a tourism film for the State of Illinois.
The presentation will be held at The Chapel on the Green NFP, and it is free, but donations are always appreciated.
