Our weekly look at some stories you may have missed this week on Patch.

Montgomery Patch, week four! This one was a little more mellow than previous weeks, as we focused mainly on introductory profiles of the seven Village Board candidates. But we did bring you other news as well. Here’s our weekly look at some stories you may have missed:

1. East Aurora’s boys basketball team has had a wild ride through the playoffs, but reached the end of the road this week. The Tomcats, led by superstar Ryan Boatright, top-ranked Benet Academy on Tuesday to reach the sectionals, but then in the semifinals. (We also brought you a of Boatright, perhaps the best player in East Aurora history, doing his thing.)

2. A team from the Montgomery Police Department participated in the at Loon Lake in Yorkville on Sunday, and raised $653 for Special Olympics athletes.

3. Village leaders are set to spend $11,000 on , an expense that will require scaling back in other areas of the budget.

4. The village said goodbye to longtime clerk Barbara Argo. We brought you a , whose last day on the job was Feb. 28. Village President Marilyn Michelini is still looking for someone to appoint to the position.
