Thanks for being here for Montgomery Patch’s second full week. We had some interesting stories for you this week. Here’s a quick look back, in case you missed some of the big ones:

1.     Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating a of a 15-year-old girl that occurred Monday morning in Boulder Hill. Police have a suspect, a male juvenile, but no further information has been released.

2.     Montgomery police conducted a on all 13 of the village’s tobacco license holders. They found six of them willing to sell cigarettes to a 16-year-old.

3.     The 2010 Census showed Montgomery with more than 1,300 more residents since the last count in 2008. That means for the village, which means fewer budget crunch issues.

4.     Aurora Township Highway Commissioner John Shoemaker found a half-mile portion of South Farnsworth Avenue in such bad shape this week that , and it may not reopen until April.

5.     After years of talking about it, the West Aurora School Board for its elementary schools, including Nicholson in Montgomery.
