The Week That Was: Feb. 13-20, 2011

A look back at some stories you may have missed this week on Montgomery Patch.

We’re just wrapping up Montgomery Patch’s first full week of existence. Thanks to everyone for visiting the site! In case you missed it, here’s a look back at five of the most interesting stories we brought you this week:

1.     According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Montgomery has more than tripled its population in the last 10 years. The village now stands at 18,438 people—more than Yorkville, and more than North Aurora.

2.     Theddias LeSure, a Montgomery man accused of killing his brother and cousin in 2009, was deemed unfit to stand trial, and will be sent to a state mental health facility for up to a year. This ruling also makes it unlikely he will face the death penalty, should he eventually be found fit.
