Frost Advisory In Effect for Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service warns that frost can kill uncovered plants and vegetation.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for 14 suburban counties, including Kane and Kendall.

The advisory will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday. According to the NWS, temperatures are expected to drop into the lower to mid-30s during the early morning hours, which could lead to frost everywhere but the lakefront.

Frost can kill plants left outside and uncovered, so if you have outdoor plants you want to keep, you should cover them tonight.
