Sam's Club to Break Ground Soon in Montgomery

It's been some time since Sam's Club announced its intention to build a store on the corner of Route 30 and Route 34 in Montgomery. The chain is planning its store in the Ogden Hill retail development. The sales tax incentive that in part brought the business to town was approved in March and the store is estimated to bring 170 new jobs to the area.

"They're ready to start construction any day now," Charlene Coulombe-Fiore, Montgomery Economic Development Executive Director said. "It is my understanding that they're going to be open by Christmas, but not this Christmas (2013), next Christmas (2014)."
