Quinlan & Fabish Expansion Opens the Door to Private Music Lessons

Montgomery Road music shop has been serving the area since 2002.

When Quinlan & Fabish Music Company outgrew its Montgomery retail location, it didn’t have far to look for a new space.

The full-service instrument showroom and repair shop moved right next door to 299 Montgomery Road.

The move afforded Quinlan & Fabish, which has been serving the Montgomery area since 2002, more space for instruments, practice spaces and a humidity-controlled gallery for cellos, violins and violas.

“The opportunity [to move] presented itself, so we decided to branch out,” said Michael Edwards, the store manager.

Edwards showed off the new store at a grand re-opening reception and sale in May, and is hoping to promote new opportunities the larger space now offers.

“We have room now to host private music lessons,” Edwards said. “There are eight practice studios now in our building.”

Instruments for which Quinlan & Fabish offers lessons in Montgomery include flute, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, cello, piano and guitar.

Edwards said he and the other staff members are working to get the word out about the newly offered lessons and expanded merchandise.

“We serve a large area, and a lot of schools,” Edwards said. “We want everyone to know about our new space and opportunities for lessons.”
