Poll: How Will You Spend Cyber Monday?

Today is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, for those with a good Internet connection. How will you spend it?

Just when you’ve recovered from Black Friday, Cyber Monday is upon us.

Cyber Monday is the term given to the Monday after Thanksgiving, when people are encouraged to shop online. The term was first used six years ago, and with companies offering deals for online customers, it’s become one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

How big? Well, last year, the total broke $1 billion—$1.03 billion, to be more exact. That’s up from $887 million in 2009, an increase of 16 percent. And according to this ComScore report, about half of those purchases were made from work computers.
