Montgomery Economic Development Corp. Celebrates 10 Years

  • Republic Services/Allied Waste are holding its Spring clean-up dates May 13 to 16. No stickers are required. Items must be curbside prior to 6 a.m., as crews will not return to pick up items that are placed out later. Residents may discard unlimited amounts of trash, yard waste, furniture, appliances and up to four tires (no rims). All trash must be placed in cans, bags or boxes not exceeding 32 gallons or 50 pounds each and set in an organized manner at the curb. Piles of loose trash, demolition materials, concrete, metal poles, liquids and hazardous waste will not be accepted.
  • A free musical presentation will be offered at the Montgomery Village Hall at 10 a.m. on May 14. The Lonesome Stranglers will play their guitars and share old country and western favorites. This program is being offered by the Village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program, but it is open to all ages. There is no charge and the event is handicapped accessible. The monthly senior lunch and activity for ages 55 and up will begin at 11 a.m. after the presentation. There is a $4 charge for the lunch.
