Brian and Sons Inc. Moves to Montgomery

The heating and air conditioning business, formerly of North Aurora, will host a grand opening ceremony at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at its new location, 2284 Cornell Ave.

For Brian and Debbie Petschow, running their business is a family affair.

The husband and wife team, along with their three grown sons, make up Brian and Sons, Inc., a full service heating, air conditioning and duct cleaning contractor and an authorized Bryant furnace and air conditioner dealer.

The company has serviced Aurora, North Aurora, Montgomery, Oswego, West Chicago, Elgin, South Elgin, Batavia, St. Charles, Naperville, Wheaton, Geneva, and the entire Chicagoland area for more than 20 years.

Recently, the company relocated from North Aurora to its new home in Montgomery at 2284 Cornell Ave.

For the Petschows, moving their family business to Montgomery only made sense.

“It’s a small, close knit community,” Debbie Petschow said. “It’s more family-oriented.”

Charlene Coulombe-Fiore, executive director of the, is thrilled to have a new business come into the village.

“Small business is the heartbeat of our community,” she said.

Brian and Sons, Inc., works with residences, corporations, light industrial buildings, churches and small business owners. They also provide 24-hour service, 365 days a year.

The Petschows are looking forward to the Montgomery's December tree lighting ceremony, which will include a Festival of Trees. Through the initiative, local businesses can join in the festivities by displaying a decorated tree in Village Hall to promote their company to hundreds of area residents, and possibly earn the coveted title of “Favorite Decorated Tree” in the village.

“It’s a great way for  businesses to get to advertise,” Debbie Petschow said.

She likes working with her husband and sons.

“I think we all really enjoy it,” she said. “And we enjoy it because for the most part we know when to switch gears — we know when it’s family time and when it’s work time.”
