Weekend Grab Bag: PrairieFest, Blues on the Fox, and Cheers for a Cure

What fun are you going to pull out this weekend and beyond? Local events abound in the Patch lands of Montgomery, Oswego and Yorkville.

It's Thursday, and you still don't know what your plans are for the weekend? Patch has your back. Here is our Weekend Grab Bag for June 17-19:

Friday, June 17

, Little White School Museum, 72 Polk St., Oswego
The Scoop: The Little White School Museum is hosting the annual Prairiefest Quilt Show put on by the Quilters Dozen Quilters Club. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Inside Info: The Quilter's Dozen donates a beautiful hand sewn quilt for raffle each year with proceeds to benefit PrairieFest. 

PrairieFest, Oswego
The Scoop: It's the second day of the 23rd annual festival. The event features main stage entertainment, children's performers, petting zoos, pony rides, camel rides, free children's activities, and more. 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Free.
Inside Info: PrairieFest events are held throughout Oswego with the main festival grounds located at PrairieFest Park, 91 Plank Rd.

Blues on the Fox, North River Street Park, Aurora
The Scoop: It's the 15th anniversary for this popular local festival that brings blues legends to the Fox Valley. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. $5/day
Inside Info: Grammy Award-winner Robert Cray takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Stay late in downtown Aurora as local bars are extending their last call.

Saturday, June 18

Farmers' Market, Town Square Park, Yorkville
The Scoop: Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon through October 29.
Inside Info: Offerings will include farm grown vegetables, baked goods and fresh roasted coffee.

PrairieFest, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Oswego
On the third day of the festival, check out from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sister Hazel takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Women's Consignment Sale, Kendall County Fairgrounds, Yorkville
The Scoop: Trendy on a Dime Women's Consignment Sale is a sale for women, teens and mommies to be to look great on a budget. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Inside Info: Over 80 sellers offering assortment of clothing, shoes, purses, handbags and jewelry. 

Blues on the Fox, 2 to 10 p.m., Aurora
Legendary blues musician Buddy Guy will play at 8:30 p.m. Local musicians from the Made in Aurora album will play sets between headliners. 

Cheers for a Cure, Kendall Pub, 209 S. Bridge St., Yorkville
The Scoop: A Relay for Life fundraiser to raise money for the fight against cancer, will be hosted by Kendall Pub. Starts at 7 p.m.
Inside Info: The pub will donate 50 percent of sales on featured food and draft beers items. The event will feature live music, a 50/50 cash pot raffle, a silent auction and gift raffle. Tickets are $1 each.

Sunday, June 19

PrairieFest, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Oswego
A stop at the from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Oswego High School is a must! Oswego Talent Show is at the main stage at 4 p.m.
