The Scoop: Billy Craft and the 5 Alarm will perform country music for attendees beginning at 7 p.m.

Aurora's Green Scene, Aurora
The Scoop: Aurora is touting its environmentally friendly nature with events like Aurora Farmers Market, Louche Puce Market, Paddlesports Festival and Aurora Green Fest. Free.
Inside Info: A free shuttle will be provided by Aurora Township at the Aurora Transportation Center to take patrons to all four events.

The Scoop: Yorkville's outdoor market starts today and continues on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon through October 29.
Inside Info: Offerings will include farm grown vegetables, baked goods and fresh roasted coffee.

, Yorkville Public Library, 902 Game Farm Rd., Yorkville
The Scoop: Read with one of the Fox Valley therapy dogs at the Yorkville Public Library. 10:30 a.m.
Inside Info: Adults can read a story while their child pets the dog if the child isn't reading yet.

Make a Father's Day Gift, Oswego Public Library, 32 W. Jefferson St., Oswego
The Scoop: Decorate a picture frame gift for dad. 2 p.m. Free.

The Scoop: Stop by the booth at the Hoover Forest Preserve dedication to purchase a raffle ticket to support the installation of rain gardens in various Kendall County forest preserves.
Inside Info: Prizes include a day at Raging Waves water park and overnight stay at Timber Creek Inn & Suites, overnight camping at Hoover Forest Preserve and a Fox River canoe trip. Tickets are $5 or five for $20. 

Sunday, June 12

The Scoop: Every Sunday through September, this fresh-air market is full of locally grown produce, meat, eggs, fresh flowers, specialty food items and more. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Family Sports Day at the Pool, Civic Center, Oswego
The Scoop: A night of fun at the pool with rockin' jams and friendly competitions. Regular hours and regular admission.
