Village to Host Free Presentation About Eagles

This presentation by Margaret Gazdacka from Red Oaks Nature Center will share fascinating information about eagles and their habitats.

Editor's note: The following is information from the village of Montgomery.

A free presentation all about eagles will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Montgomery Village Hall.

For the past several years, a family of eagles has had a nest along the Fox River in Montgomery, and residents have been thrilled to see these gorgeous birds soaring overhead. This presentation by Margaret Gazdacka from Red Oaks Nature Center will share fascinating information about eagles and their habitats. For example, did you know that bald eagles can have a wingspan up to 15 feet? Everyone is invited to come and learn more about these new residents of Montgomery.

This program is being offered by the Village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program. There is no charge and the event is handicapped accessible. The monthly Senior Lunch and activity will begin at 11 a.m. after the presentation. There is a $4 charge for the lunch and re-registration for lunch is requested.

For additional information on this event, call the Montgomery Village Hall at (630) 896-8080 ext. 1227.

I sure wish they would have thought about kids that are interested and hosted this on a weekend or during the evening. I know many kids that would have been interested in this.

So is this just for seniors or adults? I also know of some children who are home schooled that would be interested.
