Traffic Safety Campaign to Start Monday

Police will be on the lookout for drivers that are driving under the influence of alcohol or not wearing safety belts.

The Montgomery Police Department has received a Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Police will be on the lookout for drivers that are driving under the influence of alcohol or not wearing safety belts.

The enforcement will run from Monday through Sunday, Nov. 25. The department’s goal is to reduce the number of serious traffic related injuries and deaths through these traffic enforcement efforts.
