Therapy Dog Presentation Set for January

Jackson, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever, will be on hand.

Paws 4 Kids will give a presentation, featuring one of their trained therapy dogs, at the Montgomery village hall this month.

The following is from a media release sent out by the village:

Jackson is a four-year-old Labrador Retriever that was originally raised to be a Leader Dog for the Blind but has since been trained as a therapy dog and licensed through Therapy Dog International. Jackson is part of a new program in Will County that offers comfort to children who have suffered abuse.

This program is offered by the Village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program. There is no charge and the event is handicap accessible.

The monthly Senior Lunch and activity for ages 55 and up will begin at 11:00 a.m. after the presentation. There is a $4 charge for the lunch and pre-registration for lunch is required by January 8th.
