Photos and Video: Concert in the Park with Smokin' Gunz

More than a hundred people came out to dance the night away Thursday at Montgomery Park with the popular country-rock band.

Under a beautiful clear sky, the Fox Valley Park District kicked off its annual Concerts in the Park series Thursday night at Montgomery Park. The band? Smokin' Gunz, whose popular country-rock sound has won them fans all over Chicagoland for more than 10 years.

More than 100 people showed up to Thursday's concert, and a few dozen of them turned up an hour early, for free line dancing lessons from Cathy Vary of Saddle Up Saloon. Those line dancers took to River Street during the band's set, and kicked up a storm.

Concerts in the Park is a free festival series—six concerts at two Fox Valley parks are scheduled for 2011. The remaining five:
